The Sound
Project
Friends and Members of Uniacke Baptist Church
The Church has needed an upgrade to its sound system for many
years. Some prep work was done back in the late 80’s to
facilitate running lines under our floor to the front of the
church; a hearing aid loop was added and little since.
December 2007 :
A proposal was presented to
the Board of Deacons suggesting that it was time we started a
fund raising project in order to implement the changes needed
regarding upgrading the present sound system. There had
also been discussion
of implementing multimedia presentations as a part of our
Worship service at some point in the future. This also
requires equipment, planning and support software.
March 2008:
At the annual meeting
approval was given in support of the fund raising project.
It was made clear that the project would be funded outside of
the church's annual budget. Approval was given to host a
series of concerts in support of the project. Proceeds
from the concerts beyond expenses would be directed towards
"The Sound Project" as it has come to be called. Over
time other forms of fund raising may be utilized as well as
making friends and former members of Uniacke Baptist Church
aware of our project.

April 2008:
It was decided
that our "Sound Project" would be an excellent chance for
anyone looking for an opportunity to remember a deceased loved
one or to give a gift in honor of a friend, family member or
group of individuals. Therefore a
certificate was
developed that highlighted the initial goals of our project.

On behalf of Uniacke Baptist Church and our Sound System
project we would like to express our sincere appreciation for
your financial support to date. It is realized that in these days
of rising fuel and energy costs everyone is being affected on
a variety of fronts and none of you will be exempted totally.
It is with recognition of your sacrifice and contribution that
we say “Thank You”. We trust for those who have been able to
attend some of our concerts over the past year have been
blessed by them.
We have also been encouraged by denominational leadership to
consider expanding our worship capabilities, as others have
done, to include the option of using multimedia presentations
in our worship services.
