A WORD FROM Pastor Alan - July 11,  2010

Stephen Hawking has now taken the position of scholar in residence at the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, ON.  He’s the impressive cosmologist who taught at the University of Cambridge in England until the age of 67.  He is impressive not just because of his academic prowess, but because he has overcome so much to achieve what he has to date.  You could say he is a visionary as his mind is focused on the universe.

Some one has said that Christians are called to be visionaries.  We are to see what others do not see and speak of what others do not speak of.  Visionaries also change the atmosphere around them, elevating it to a higher level.  As we learn to worship God and declare His praises, we will find the atmosphere around us changing.  The more we become worshipers and visionaries, the more we will overcome limitation in our lives.  Want to know more about being a visionary and how to change your atmosphere for better? Then please go to the sermon on this site.

Our Vision Statement:

To glorify God by presenting a changeless Christ in a relevant, creative, credible and caring way to people of all ages and walks of life in an environment where individuals can meet the Saviour, worship Him as Lord and grow to their fill potential in Christ through the Holy
Spirit.

Our priorities are threefold:

I - WORSHIP
More than any other reason, we are here to glorify and worship God. In all our services, we have come to meet with Him, hear His voice and obey Him.

II - EVANGELISM
We also bring glory to His name "but presenting a changeless Christ in a relevant, creative, credible and caring way to people of all ages and walks of life." We are in Mt. Uniacke on assignment. The assignment is to build God's kingdom by winning souls to Christ.

III - DISCIPLESHIP
We are also here to nurture one another in the growth process of discipleship. We do this by providing "an environment where individuals can meet the Saviour, worship Him as lord, and grow to their full potential in Christ through the Holy Spirit." As we pursue these priorities of God, let us remember the Lord is with us to favour us and bless us with his presence. "Surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Ps. 23:6
